Each woman with her head on her shoulders, knows the importance of calcium for strong bones to prevent osteoporosis, a serious disease that affects older women. I myself have been a long-term consumption of dairy products low in fat for this reason (I like the ricotta with almost everything). But now we have another reason to swallow calcium.

New research has shown that women with high intakes of calcium appear to have a lower risk of all cancers, and the men and women whose calcium intake had a lower risk of colorectal cancer and other cancers system gastrointestinal (which is February 23 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine).

The Institute of Medicine currently recommends 1200 milligrams of calcium for adults 50 years and older, and 2005 dietary guidelines for Americans recommend 3 cups per day of low cost of dairy fat or fat-free. For women, the top fifth of the consumption of calcium (1881 mg daily) had a risk of 23 per cent lower than the bottom one-fifth (494 mg daily) with a more marked decline in colorectal cancers. So what is that milk is so protective against cancer?

Milk production is relatively high in anti-cancer nutrients such as calcium, vitamin D and conjugated linoleic acid. Football has been shown to reduce sales growth and cause abnormalities among normal cells in the gastrointestinal tract and breast and it binds to bile acids and fatty acids, which can reduce damage to the lining of the large intestine. So the bottom line is: the diet, even if you do not forget to specify that the dairy products low in fat to protect against the disease!
